OLYMP: Daniela Bethonico takes over as Head of Supply Chain
The Bietigheim fashion supplier places responsibility for its production and procurement in trusted hands
OLYMP Bezner KG from Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) has appointed Daniela Bethonico as its Head of Supply Chain. She will commence her work on 1 July 2024. She succeeds Johann Trischberger, who has been appointed to the internationally successful clothing specialist’s management team. He will now form part of a new leadership quartet alongside Mark Bezner, Kai Graf and Heiko Ihben.
Mark Bezner, owner and CEO of OLYMP Bezner KG, says: “Having already been able to appoint Johann Trischberger – a proven expert from our company – to our newly conceptualised management team, we’ve now succeeded in filling the vacant position of Head of Supply Chain with Daniela Bethonico, who also comes from within our own ranks. By successfully making these appointments to two key positions at OLYMP, we’re excellently positioned for the future”.
The graduate engineer (Mechanical Engineering) Daniela Bethonico, 48, got her professional career underway in logistics management at the Poiger Business Services industrial agency in Munich, Bavaria, in 1999. From 2001 onwards, she completed an International Management Trainee Programme at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, before starting work as a Junior Product Manager at its Brazilian subsidiary Heidelberg do Brasil in Sao Paulo. From 2003, she was responsible for marketing management for the whole of Latin America, holding the position of Senior Product Manager from 2006 to 2012. At the same time, she completed a part-time MBA programme from 2006 to 2012, specialising in entrepreneurship.
After holding further management positions at various companies in Brazil, Daniela Bethonico then joined OLYMP Bezner KG in Bietigheim-Bissingen in 2017. Here, she successfully worked her way up – from organisational and project management to production planning – before becoming Head of Quality and Process Management in October 2020.
As of 1 July 2024, Daniela Bethonico will take over as Technical Director and will now be responsible for the Production, Procurement and Technical Product Development divisions. In close coordination with OLYMP’S international production plants and suppliers, her tasks include ensuring clearly defined quality standards for materials and workmanship as well as realising high-quality clothing products in collaboration with its design teams. In future, Daniela Bethonico will report to Johann Trischberger, the new Managing Director for Production, Procurement, Corporate Responsibility, Internal Services, Logistics and IT/Organisation.
OLYMP Bezner KG is the market leader for shirts in Germany. In addition, its high-quality clothing range – which includes shirts, knitwear, sweatwear and accessories – is sold in over 40 countries worldwide. Its turnover in the 2023 financial year was 229 million euros.
